Have you seen her?

Suzanne Escobedo
Seadrift, Texas

Suzie Escobedo, 25, lived with her husband Cris Escobedo and their four-month-old baby in a trailer home near  Seadrift, in Calhoun County, Texas. She vanished on August 2, 2018.
According to local media, Cris Escobedo reported Suzie missing that evening. He told investigators and her family that when he got home from work around 7 p.m., the baby was alone but that Suzie's phone, purse and vehicle were left behind. A search for the young mother of two turned up empty. Suzie's family doesn't believe she ran away. The Texas Rangers and Calhoun Sheriff's Department suspect foul play.
*It's important to note that on a Facebook page dedicated to the case, someone mentions that it was actually Suzie's sister, Brenda, who reported her missing, and not Cris Escobedo.
In a video posted by the family called Unidos por Suzie or United for Suzie, Brenda explains that she went to the couple's trailer that evening and noticed there was blood on the carpet in their bedroom. Suzie's family believes that whatever happened to Suzie, took place in that home.
In the video, Suzie's mother, Maria del Consuelo Rodriguez, says in Spanish that she doesn't believe her daughter left on her own. She's convinced there's more to the case. In the video, posted on Youtube in July 2023, Maria also mentioned that investigators had not been in contact with the family in more than two years.
There's another bizarre twist. According to local media reports, supposedly there's surveillance video that shows Suzie at a Bayside Express. It's said to be the last confirmed sighting of Suzie, but it's not clear if the video is from the day she disappeared. Furthermore, it's not clear who has the video or why it hasn't been released. One would think that showing it to the public might help generate leads.
In May 2021, Suzie's family suffered another tragedy when her 21-year-old brother passed away. The family says that after Suzie vanished, he became depressed and anxious.
This is Suzie's profile on the National Missing and Unidentified Persons system or NAMUS.
The Calhoun County Crime Stoppers are offering a $1000 reward for information on Suzie's case. You can call them at 361-552-2274.
